Mother May I – Joshilyn Jackson

IN STORES TODAY!

Joshilyn Jackson recently shifted from contemporary women’s fiction to the mystery genre.  Last year’s Never Have I Ever was her first foray into the realm and with her latest, Mother May I, she seems to have hit her stride.  Bree Cabbat, the born poor but now wealthy Atlanta housewife, seems to have it all until her infant, Robert disappears and she finds herself capitulating to the demands of his kidnapper. Bree searches for ways to save her son without involving the authorities, with the help of a friend and former cop.  Jackson pieces together the puzzle nicely and keeps the pages turning on this #metoo-centric story.  The perfect weekend read.
