Born in Ohio, as a child actor, Rob Lowe quickly relocated to Malibu in the 1970’s, where he met and competed with all of the big names of the day for parts and popularity. By the time he was fifteen, his face hung on teen bedrooms across the country. He came of age during a booming time for young actors and all of his escapades drop the names of members of the Brat Pack. But with all of the glitz and glamour, Lowe honestly and openly recounts the difficulties and his wild days of fame and excess. Ultimately, he grounds himself in sobriety and family, which anchor his run on The West Wing. Entertaining at every turn, but never mean or petty, Lowe strikes the perfect chord.
